Hey,
Today, we are going to talk about Choice-Supportive Bias 🐶.
What is it?
When you select something or buy something, You tend to feel good and positive about it — even though you are aware of flaws, it has.
Example -
No matter how many scratches on your arms and faces have been given to you by your “lovely” cat, you are still going to love him/her to the moon and back. Right?
Where does it occur?
In general decision making.
Whenever you are going to make a decision, you will recall all the information required in that context. At that particular time, you will probably remember the good parts more of the context.
Why do I need to know?
Because of all the fancy, motivational & ‘feels-good’ stuff, you might not remember the flaws or cons, when making a decision about something.
Think hard and make sure you weigh both pros and cons when making a decision.
Takeaways:-
Collect enough information before making a decision.
Apply this bias in your User-Onboarding process. Make your users feel that they indeed made a great decision or are going to make a great decision, choosing your product.
