Today, we are going to learn about Fallacy in Psychology.
What is it?
A fallacy is when someone uses a fact that is not true to try to prove something. Or as Wikipedia says,
“A fallacy is reasoning that is logically incorrect, undermines the logical validity of an argument, or is recognized as unsound. All forms of human communication can contain fallacies.”
Where does it occur?
Some fallacies are committed intentionally to manipulate or persuade by deception, while others are committed unintentionally due to carelessness or ignorance.
The soundness of legal arguments depends on the context in which the arguments are made.
