Today, I want to enlighten you about findings from a research performed about workers and their mindset toward employer who care about mental health of their employees.
This is the study about APA’s 2022 Work and Well-being Survey by APA.
What is it?
The Work and Well-being survey was commissioned by APA to look at workplace experiences, measure employee stress related to work, and capture what employees are looking for from their employers as it relates to their mental health.
Pandemic leading to the stress of isolation, fear of COVID, and an overwhelming news cycle, it appears many workplace leaders have realized the need to address mental health concerns among their staff.
A majority (81%) of survey respondents said that employers’ support for mental health will be an important consideration when they look for work in the future—including 30% of workers who strongly agreed that employer support for mental health will factor into their future job decisions.

What do I need to know?
The results also reveal that seven in 10 workers (71%) believe their employer is more concerned about the mental health of employees now than in the past.
This new focus is highly valued by employees. In fact, 81% of individuals said they will be looking for workplaces that support mental health when they seek future job opportunities.

Flexible work hours - 41%
Workplace culture that respects time off - 34%
Ability to work remotely - 33%
Four-day work week - 31%
