Let’s learn more about it a bit.
What is it?
Because of the pandemic, people became more vigilant to their surroundings than normal to stay safe as possible. Also referred as the term, “Hypervigilant” is an extension to Anxiety.
Service members are instructed in the military to be hypervigilant for safety, to look for indicators of danger, and to avoid potential risks. When they leave the military, they frequently discover that even if they no longer experience trauma symptoms, their hypervigilance persists because it was part of their training.

What do I need to know?
You can retrain your nervous system to have a greater parasympathetic tone: the calming response, as opposed to fight-or-flight.
When you do so, you might see that, from any traumatic experience, there can be post-traumatic growth.
