Hello,
Hope you are having a good week. Today, We are talking about Zero-Risk Bias ⚠️.
What is it?
Sociologists have found that we love certainty — even if it’s counterproductive.
Eliminating risk entirely means there is no chance of harm being caused.
Example -
You have a choice between driving to a destination by way of a shorter, but risky road, or a longer but safer road. Most likely, You will choose the longer but safer route.
Because doing so, You are eliminating the whole risk.
Panic-buying & Hoarding is one of the great example which you might’ve seen, recently.
Where does it occur?
It often manifests in cases where decision makers address problems concerning health, safety, and the environment.
Why do I need to know?
I personally believe that taking risks can sometimes help you achieve something or discover something.
Playing all safe in life doesn’t seem like a great idea. We should take small risks at young age. Down the line, who knows you’ll be able to do them or not (when you are in your 40s, 50s) ?
I would love to know what you think? Do you agree or disagree, in this context?
Takeaways:-
People will choose safer options over riskier options, most of the time.
Convincing your customers that their data is safe with you, will make them trust you more and make them stay longer with your business.
